TRACK 1, RED:
Crimson Dawn - the music begins on a low C, the most resonant note on the cello. It vibrates throughout your being and transforms the whole room. The sound rises slowly, softly exploring the range of the instrument, ending on the sweet, pure clarity of a high E.
Vermilion Roses - out of silence comes song. Perhaps the gentle tale of the beloved.

TRACK 2, ORANGE:
First Stirrings - like the murmuring of a young stream, the music quickens, calling us to awareness.
Peach Blossoms - the stream broadens, we relax to the comforting rocking of a boat.

Mahogany (Adagio from the Oboe Concerto in C Minor, by Alessandro Marcello) - this gorgeous, haunting work, here transposed into E Minor to capture the sonority of the cello, was written in the early 1700s.

TRACK 3, YELLOW:
Golden Sand - a change of pace, as a serene story-telling voice unfolds.
Jasmine Petals [:] - a whimsical zephyr lends a touch of perfume to the air.
Saffron Light (Afton Water) - gently meandering variations on a Scottish folk tune.

TRACK 4, GREEN: Emerald Opulence - a reverential nod to the Baroque style of the 18th century, allowing the cello to provide its own chords.

TRACK 5, BLUE:
Antique Sapphire (The Lady and the Dragon) - this touching old English folk melody invites us to muse on its meaning.
Azure Elegance - nearing day’s end, time to lie back and stare at the peaceful sky.

TRACK 6, INDIGO:
Stained Glass - homage to the hypnotic rhythms of Philip Glass.
Ancient Velvet (French Troubadour Melody) - this archaic piece offers its own unique motifs that lure us into a world of kaleidoscopic permutations.
Nightfall - as the light fades, we stretch and yawn. The music is interspersed with chord passages that bid us stop and enjoy the luxury.

TRACK 7, VIOLET:
Amethyst Luminance (Merry Widow Waltz, Franz Lehar) - ruminations on a familiar melody, as we emerge from our dreams.
Lavender Sunrise - echoes of the dawn linger in memory.
